Zelda Resources Inc is a graphite exploration and production company that has acquired the 100% rights to the Amorf Graphit in south Turkey. The Mine is 23 km far away from the port for Shipment and Zelda is able produce 12 months per year due to favorable weather and strategic location. The plant will be constructed in the vicinity of the Deveciler field of the Çabukkoyağı village. The estimated annual capacity is 15,000 tonnes of concentrates from 120,000 tons of raw ore. The goal of the project is to produce a concentrate containing 80% C from an open-pit mine and a beneficiation plant.
Today graphite prices are soaring and expected to continue to increase as clean energy demands increases.. The strong growth in graphite demand is driven by a combination of steady growth in traditional uses such as steel production, lubricants, brake linings and batteries as well as double digit growth from new applications, in particular portable electronics and hybrid and electric vehicles as well as developing markets such as solar and wind power, pebble bed nuclear reactors and fuel cells. Demand is forecast to continue to expand with graphite expected to play a significant role in tomorrow's high tech electronics, lightweight vehicles and in majority of all clean energy applications. Zelda Resources aims to rapidly advance its project into production to capture favourable graphite market conditions.
